Breakfast: coffee, omelet (2 eggs, splash of milk, spinach, 1/2 tbsp. butter), apple.
Snack: ~1oz. almonds.
Lunch: ~3-4 oz. roast beef, arugula & beets with oil & vinegar, 4 almonds.
Snack: 1/2 Kashi trail mix granola bar
EXERCISE: 5 mile run + some pushups
Two miles to warm up on the treadmill at the school "fitness center", then three miles through Central Park, interspersed by stopping to take pictures with my cellphone camera. I love running at dusk. I also love the Brooks GTS 10s I got for Christmas. On the treadmill, they're definitely too 'springy' feeling but on concrete sidewalks, which is the surface I do most of my runs on anyway, they feel perfect. I rarely feel anything now from my Morton's neuroma and when I do, it's more slight discomfort than pain - which was not the case with the Adidas I was wearing before, and one of the main reasons I cut back from 20+ miles to about 10 miles a week.
Snack: 1/2 Kashi trail mix granola bar
Dinner: 1/2 chicken breast with balsamic vinegar, broccoli, 2 tbsp. homemade cheese sauce, glass of red wine.
Snack: smoothie (frozen berries, banana, 1/2 cup coconut milk)
Not at all hungry for the smoothie but needed something to hit 2000 calories for the day. I guess protein & fat is actually a lot more filling, go figure. Gave some to my roommate, she liked it a lot more than I did. Now for Law & Order: SVU and sleep. Maybe I'll have nightmares about malfunctioning treadmills again like I did last night!
(b/p - two episodes: one after run & snack, one after smoothie/before bed.)
